| From Carrington Health Center Holy Family Villa
On May 25, 1964, a 38 bed skilled and intermediate nursing facility was opened by the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Fargo, ND to answer a growing need in the area for care of the aging. This facility was originally known as Holy Family Guest Home and later renamed Carrington Health Center Long Term Care which was enlarged and remodeled in 1989. Holy Family Villa opened as a Basic Care facility on March 6, 2000. Holy Family Villa completed the remodeling of private rooms in September, 2002.
The Villa, in association with Carrington Health Center and the Foster County Medical Center, offers retirement living and healthcare services all under one roof. As a Basic Care facility, the Villa respects ones’ choices and promotes the integrity of an individual in a compassionate and caring environment. Holy Family Villa offers a homelike setting for those who do not need constant care, but find it increasingly difficult to live alone.
